this goes out to young developers

Hi. It’s me again, your favourite manipulator sociopath. How could i dare not making a post yesterday? Welll no joke i was busy doing private stuff and also i did not have any idea what to write about. But as a gift today I come to you with something that long needed to be said.

As some of you may know, i was on the internet since november of 2016. My online live started on klango as karmien, o good olod days… Well soon i moved on to elten in may 2017, and i am still here today. I have made 2 websites, have joined the english community at age of 12 in april 2018, have made several games (i am not proud off lc btw), a forum, etc. etc. But i always noticed one barrier. And that barrier, well, was my age. And it turns out that the english blind community has this hang of questioning everythihng that is not done by a full adult. Means when ever i tried to come up with something web related, for an example my forum, people where doupting me just because of the fact that i did not have that golden aight after the one. This problem also showed up in simhostium, and lots of other times. I have even seen people questioning peoples opinions just because of age or using sayings that where discriminating against age groups. So this goes out to you, young devs and community members. If you want to do something in your community, just wait a bit before publishing your age. I could not wait, due to the fact i had an lp channel and i think some of you mait still remember my voice at that time. But if you don’t aim to do that then hold that age back as long as you can. At some point in your livew it will be a stone in your way in this community.

Please share this post, this might be brought far. I want people to read this, ok? Also i want to see the face of the dumbasses people that used this as a weapon for way to long, i am already looking forward for the funny comments haha.

  1. Great! Then you will have to spend more time on Elten reading the relevant forum posts.

  2. Reputable means good, she doesn’t necessarily have to have the best of reputations in order to be reputable.

  3. Arctic Moon’s so called high reputation is one thing that I would never accept here.

  4. Yeah, and reputable equal good and wise and always true. I see the agnet mentality that will kill it at one day.

  5. ArcticMoon is a highly reputable member, IMO. Do you think I care if you don’t respond? Haha, I would have to be extremely bored.

  6. Wont ever bother responding here, and i may not respond further to you. Sometimes i may do, but the only ting you have posted in this blog is destructive shit, and this coment is arctic moon level. You know 100 percent what i am talking about.

  7. Haha, hosting company? Did you get a certificate which admits you a position of a company entity? I don’t think so. ANd its not because of your fucking age, but because of the fact that it aint a cheap thing.

  8. do you really think that is good though_ Also you are an expert in age judging so you are not the dude to talk me, just reflect the posts about my hosting company for a sec and you’ll know.

  9. I have joined the community in 2009 when I was 11. I had no idea that it wasn’t for my agemates, though, so had also no problem with posting on forum and writing blog posts. I sometimes had bad experiences, when someone was showing to me that I was irresponsible and childish. Well, yeah, I didn’t understand it, then, and got furious. I’m lucky enough to have some of my posts to read, now and I must admit they were just bad. I cannot say, though, it was not possible to act at this time. I did manage. And that is why I agree with nuno. It depends only from the content you make.

  10. I wouldn’t recommend giving your age out anywhere before you create something worthy, then when you give your age away, no one will give 2 shits about how old you are.

  11. i will also soon write an article which explains why this is not, for urh theres one more factor then the age but this does not belnog in the comment section of this article.

  12. true. As i said it has only become a problem since a few years, that is probably why nuno did not face this. But now do the slightest mistake and you get sayings like "this guys probably 12" or publish your age and then get ruined for it.

  13. I kind of agree with simter here but nuno also has a valid point. problem is that i wanted to make an audiogame, not a clone, but an actual game in python but i can’t becausepeople will just pick on me.

  14. On klango it waws a problem for me neither it only started geting a problem in agnet. And since i want to help people so they don’t have to listen to the same bullshit as i had to i posted this.

  15. Oh it aint working like that my friend.
I have joined the online community in 2011 (I was 9 then) and that was a fal-start, I admire, yet even though I have asked logical questions on Klango, my writing was just not too good and this ruined me kinda much.
But once I have returned in 2014 and made some onlin friends, many of them thought that I am older than I truely was. Its not about the numbers but about what you represent with yourself.
